As digital technologies continue to impact organizations, it is critical for next-generation leaders to have an in-depth and strategic understanding of digital transformation. This program shows leaders how to proactively respond to the changing business landscape and help their organization realign strategy, resources, and competencies.
At the start of this online program, you will be asked to complete a short diagnostic to explore how they use digital technologies in your own organization. The program follows a three-stage approach:
1. Explore: You will gain a contextual understanding of the digital world and will start exploring your organization’s value proposition
2. Engage: You will review and re-think how they can build better and more value-adding relationships with customers through digital solutions
3. Execute: You will create an action plan to implement digital value solutions, aligned with your organization’s digital transformation strategy
More about the program
This practical program is based on recent research published by the program faculty in 2020: Why Hackathons Aren’t Just for Coders: DigitalHacks Bring Real-World Challenges and High-Intensity Collaboration to Business Classes and DVC Framework: Accelerating Digital Value Creation. The research findings point to specific tools and practices, which are recommended and taught to participants. Dr. Mike Cooray and Rikke Duus provide participants with an inside look into their research and useful insights that can’t be found anywhere else.

Who is it for?
Managers who are involved in the team driving digital transformation in their organization. With at least five years of experience, participants will be familiar with the organization’s digital transformation initiatives. They will typically be in market-/customer-facing roles tasked with creating tangible digital customer value propositions.
For participants with complex schedules and frequent commitments, the self-paced approach helps them navigate a full calendar and put the Open Program learnings first when it works best. This style helps participants avoid going through the motions of the course and instead focus on learning when they have the capacity to do so.

As a learner progresses at their own pace, it allows them to take what they learn and apply it to real-world scenarios at work. In some cases, the application of learned material requires more time. In this delivery method, learners can take the time they need for their change to make an impact.
